Our new single barrel aged imperial stout celebrates a classic flavor harmony: chocolate and orange. After 28 months in a single Taconic bourbon barrel, Slice began its rest on a pile of sweet orange peel and Ecuadorian and Ghana cacao nibs, giving the beer the timeless, decadent aromatics of a bourbon-soaked orange slice dipped in a chocolate fountain, a chocolate bon bon paired with a citrus aperitif, or, perhaps, the Pandora’s box of nostalgia beheld when unwrapping a candied chocolate orange. Cacao was consumed in fermented beverages for almost 4,000 years before the invention of the chocolate bar. Try Slice and remember why.
