Single Barrel Maple Shade

The origin of the Shade series returns as a single barrel select. We let this imperial stout age 21 months in Taconic Maple Bourbon barrels, then selected the best single barrel from our cellar. Post-slumber, it cold-conditioned on Mostra Coffee’s Vietnam Lotus blend offering notes of baking spice, dark chocolate, and butterscotch. Robust Vermont maple syrup was added along with a heaping amount of Madagascar vanilla, adding further depth to the ultimate liquid brunch experience. 13% ABV

Single Barrel Vanilla Shade

A single Ex-Bourbon Apple Brandy barrel was selected to showcase this year’s Vanilla Shade variant. After being aged for a total of 22 months, rich Ugandan vanilla beans were added to the select barrel. Vanilla Shade delivers notes reminiscent of grandma’s apple fritter brookies, bourbon sugar cookie dough, Oreo cream macaroons, snickerdoodle, and vanilla air. 13% ABV

Single Barrel Grand Reserve

Our signature heavyweight classic returns as a single-barrel select. We chose the best barrel of Grand Reserve in our cellar and racked it into a second barrel (Penelope Wheat) for further aging. The fruit of our labor is a finely balanced barleywine sporting the rich and full-flavored chocolate, caramel, pecan, and fine sherry notes of a carefully nurtured malty barrel-aged beer entwined with the airy fineness of a premium spirit. 12% ABV

Brewed thick with oodles of oats and raw wheat and completely dry hopped to saturation with equal amounts Nelson Sauvin, Galaxy, and Citra Cryo, Holy Ghost is a mind-melting 10% ABV encounter like none before.
