The origin of the Shade series returns as a single barrel select. We let this imperial stout age 21 months in Taconic Maple Bourbon barrels, then selected the best single barrel from our cellar. Post-slumber, it cold-conditioned on Mostra Coffee’s Vietnam Lotus blend offering notes of baking spice, dark chocolate, and butterscotch. Robust Vermont maple syrup was added along with a heaping amount of Madagascar vanilla, adding further depth to the ultimate liquid brunch experience.
